It was about 7 AM, when the young boy and I headed to Central Park. It was packed. The suggestion is to run anticlockwise and the loop was like a never ending snaking line of runners.
Many overtook us. I sharply inhaled as I saw beautiful strides, bodies – the rhythmic motion of so many people running – it was just dazzling. And that too for a Tuesday morning. But then again the track at Tao Devilal Stadium is packed too.
It was an easy run and he ran partly barefoot. He said the tarmac here felt different – more stony – than Shanti Path. I wouldn’t know – I don’t run barefoot.
We finished strong and faster in the second half. A good way to begin the day.
