Writing about Running

A diary, mostly about running, by Aseem Vadehra

A bit of the Past

Children playing cricket in a dusty field. Brick kilns. Dhabas and Starbucks.

It has been road trip Monday to the hills of Uttarakhand. Near Ramnagar, I seemed to recall some of the roads from eight years ago.

My friend Amit and I cycled intermittently along the highway, then upwards to Nainital and onwards to Mukteshwar.

I can hardly recall a time when I was more spent.

Today memories of that time came back, a time I revisit often, a time that was crucial in its own way in my running journey.
