Writing about Running

A diary, mostly about running, by Aseem Vadehra

The Light across the Lake

Today because of the race day tomorrow, I didn’t run. That and because I slept unusually late last night.

But I did walk, here and there, once again amongst the gardens and lawns of Sunder Nursery.

It was a sight to see, hundreds of families, enjoying the winter sun, their picnic spreads laid out, a public park offering us possibilities of joy, shared and common.

Light bounced on the lake, lightly, as if skipping through us, past us and beyond, from sunshine to sunshine.
