Writing about Running

A diary, mostly about running, by Aseem Vadehra

Round and Round

Yesterday it rained and washed away the dust, grime and pollution of the New Delhi Region. Or at least the parts of Delhi and Gurgaon that I visit.

When I woke up in the morning, I peeked out and to my delight and surprise, it was absolutely clear of the fog of the previous days. The air was fresh with next to no pollution.

I reached an empty track – no one had come assuming heavy rain. It was a long time on feet and it was going to be a long, lonely morning.

But Coach Ravi. White helmet in hand, the omnipresent red sweatshirt arrived and gave me company every few laps.

Fresh air over a bit of boredom. Absolutely. Coach Ravi at the track. What else could a better morning look like.
