Writing about Running

A diary, mostly about running, by Aseem Vadehra

A Road Surprise

This morning when I started at the track, many from the track gang including the affable Suryansh joined me.

After a few rounds, I wondered out aloud if we should run on the road instead. Before I knew it, nearly ten of us, escaped from a parting in the fence out on the roads of Gurgaon.

It was simply delightful and in a way liberating to run down ribbons of road that stretched for miles.

The group eventually broke into three – Dipasha, Suryansh and I made it down the home straight, taking a left to the stadium gate finishing a wonderful hour to finish an unusual run but one I hope we return to again.
