This morning out on the road with the track gang, Coach Ravi cycling along urged us to go faster.
It’s supposed to be an easy run, I thought. But Dipasha took the bait and changed gears to running faster than what I had thought for the morning.
Alright. Here we go. By now we had done the familiar ‘L’ shaped out and back run a few times. We knew where to turn. It had become familiar turf.
On the way back, the coach told us to pick it up by another fifteen seconds and then at the dog leg by another fifteen.
Picking up the pace, Suryansh and I left Khushboo and Dipasha behind. I checked in on myself and it felt in the region of comfortable with an added zing. More than anything, I was thirsty.
I was also in a bit of a dilemma. Perhaps I needed to amp my easy runs. Perhaps the easy runs were in fact too easy. I wasn’t sure of the answer just yet.
