Writing about Running

A diary, mostly about running, by Aseem Vadehra

Dipasha and the Rocket

It’s as if some weather person listened and made today slightly more agreeable.

The wind blew gently and thankfully it wasn’t the loo. And in this case beggars can’t be choosers.

Dipasha, Suryansh and I ran most of the road run together with Coach Ravi cycling alongside. He was giving an earful to Dipasha about pace, and sharing his training stories.

At the U-turn point – HUDA centre metro station – Coach Ravi commanded us to pick up the pace.

As last week, we picked up the pace each kilometre on the way back and Dipasha showed who was boss.

The kids from the track, their dedication, their pearly smiles and their ready attitude – I have so much to learn from them.
