Writing about Running

A diary, mostly about running, by Aseem Vadehra

Long interval session

Last night before I went to sleep, I wasn’t sure whether I would be able to handle the interval session today. It was a long hard workout and I was exhausted, stressed and short of sleep.

I woke up with nightmares and still carrying about me the stresses of the previous day.

There was nothing to do but go to track and see how it went. I made all my times, in fact most better than prescribed.

My mind oscillated between thoughts that bothered me and Zátopek who is now firmly one of my heroes.

As I write this after the run and the strength workout, I hope for more consistency but less stressful days ahead.

But boy am I glad I went to track. That surface that gives me everything.
