This morning I woke up and lept straight to my laptop. Last year, I forgot to register during the Boston Marathon qualifying submission window. I must be the only runner in the world to do so. This year, I just could not make that mistake again.
After that, it was off to track for too many 300 repeats – I had to keep my head down and just be at it – one lap at a time.
The paces weren’t so good but the effort was nearly a hundred percent. I didn’t mind. I had had quite a relentless weekend and had switched my intervals around a day earlier. I was prepared to be slower. While I like to stick to routine, sometimes a switch like this can be helpful.
It was a quick core workout later to round off the morning.
