It has been long exhausting days at work. By the time I crawled into bed it was late and I wasn’t sure how the intervals would go today.
When I woke up, bleary eyed, the training peaks said ‘Run tbd’. It must have been one of the rare times, my Coach, Eilish, who had just won the London 10k race this past weekend had not inputted in the run.
I had to make something up so I decided to play around with 800-400, 400-800 combinations switching them around as I went along. It was incredibly tough going. There was a lot of talking to I had to do to keep myself moving.
It was muggy weather and I had to douse myself with water after each interval. More or less I stuck to the timing I prescribed for myself. Adrenalin had wiped off the sleep and later it was a quick and hard workout.
Finally, when I checked my email, I saw my acceptance letter from Boston Athletic Association for the Boston Marathon. It has been a long time coming.
