The helicopter still squatted in the middle of the field and the track remained closed three days in a row.
It was amazing though how many folks still made it to the stadium and did their training in the driveway.
But we had decided to head out. Like yesterday, Coach Ravi was on the bicycle and our large group started together. Quite quickly, a mile out, we split into three separate groups.
Today, for me, it was just head down running. While it was meant to be an easy run, I knew I deliberately pushed every kilometre or so, increasing the pace and dialling up the effort.
At the U-turn, just like yesterday, it was still dark and I changed gears again. At the Bakhtavar crossing, the sky was finally changing colours and with only a mile to go back to the stadium parking, Ashwini, Monu and I pressed the pedal.
I finished the morning with some stride efforts and eventually a quick and hard core workout at home.
