Writing about Running

A diary, mostly about running, by Aseem Vadehra

Partly with the Young Boy

The young boy woke me up today. I wanted to sleep in a bit. It is Good Friday – a holiday for him – but not for me.

I dragged myself out of bed and gulped down an espresso. Soon we were out in the driveway. Decidedly, it has been a short Spring in New Delhi paving the way for a hot summer.

The young boy joined me for a steady state five kilometres, and I carried on, rounding it to an eight and closing the taper week. Perhaps an easy run on Sunday before Boston Monday.

Some breathing and stretching, going over the checklist and then off to work.
