Took it easy.

We were both pulling up at Nehru Park at the same time. We both had an easy run.
We ran together chatting and catching up, doing Niti, Vinay, Shanti and Nyaya for almost a no repeat on any road to round it up to a solid ten.

I dropped the young boy and headed to Nehru Park. It was already a bit late so chose to run inside the park. It was packed with walkers and a few familiar runners.
I’m not quite sure what the purpose was to make the inner path a soft surface but I guess it bodes well for an easy run.
But I had intervals. With the twists and turns, it isn’t possible to go all out, so I went by effort. All told a great run.

My head is swimming with the possibilities of Irving’s book. Thus, such was my run today thinking about the protagonist and the structure of the essay.
Following this was a deliberately slower but varied core workout that rounded up today morning.

Slept, as expected, super late. New week ahead. Looking forward to starting training.
-
Surprisingly no regret here. It’s been a hell of a weekend with multiple work events and I needed the sleep. After another expected rest day tomorrow, I will be back to training.
-
Ran easy in the driveway today. The young boy joined me for a short bit at the end. The weather is still pleasant.
-
Exhausted today after sleeping really late. Woke up, missed the run and had to run off to work. No pun intended.
-
Because of my 3 AM start with work, I missed today. Let’s see if I can make it up.

Stop thinking when you see a crazy number on your training peaks that makes you wonder if your coach went bananas.
So it was. After race weekend, this was always going to be tough. It was. But I powered through it. Not at the paces I would have liked but at a 9/10 RPE.
Done dusted back home for a quick hard workout with the young boy.
